In 2011 Steve Gill started out on a mission.
That mission was to get disabled men and women into motorsports and to enjoy spectating, participating or even start a new career. Through motorsports people with disabilities are able to:

  • Develop Mechanic skills
  • Learn to drive or ride again with adaptions
  • Feel part of a team
  • Gain a purpose and goal in their lives
  • Help to develop new tehnology to support disabled access to driving and riding
  •

In 2009 Steve took part in an all amputee yacht crew who sailed the Atlantic. The Crew of 13 only had 13 legs between them and yet they survived all that the Atlantic could throw at them. Steve couldn't even swim, but his motto is "If they can do it..So can I".

In 2011 Steve discovered that amputees and paralysed people can take part in motorsports, but that not many do. They can drive cars as fast as an able bodied person - alot of it is in the mind because the car can be adapted to allow for the disability. They can ride motorbikes on either 2 or 3 wheels because the controls can again be adapted.

In the services Steve was surrounded by PistonHeads, but he found that a lot gave up on that when they were injured. Steve saw the opportunity to set up a motorsports organisation that enabled disabled people to get back onto or into 2, 3, 4 and 4x4 wheels on the track and on the roads.

He needs your help to continue the work.....
